Grab you hose and give it a squeeze, you know which one...LOL

How's everybody's fuel lines doing with the crappy gas we're forced to use these days....

Save yourself some unexpected down time and give your fuel lines a tender loving squeeze now and then. First sign of a hard or semi hard hose (no not that one, the other one......LOL)replace the entire system before it causes you more pain than you can imagine.

Had a yammie in the shop the other day with a problem. First thing in the morning for 5 minutes it ran great. Then after 5 minutes couldn't even get on plane, no power at all.
He changed filters, VST, plugs, fuel, water in gas. nothing worked. So now he has decided to spend money and bring it to my shop. I changed the main fuel line and all was well. Evidently the lines collapsed internally and I could see a delivery problem. Thanx to ethanol you need to change them lines out like Gary said every 2 years or so. It's cheap insurance

Charlie, that's what I'm talk'n about right there. You can't see the problem, ya gotta look and feel for it, and if you don't it's gonna cost ya time and money down the road.

I just re-did my entire fuel system from tank to intake and I used a hose that Goodyear put's out (not US COAST GUARD approved) but made for Ethanol fuel:

Fuel Injection Hose SAE 30R9

Expensive as hell but should last allot longer because of a liner within the hose that the ethanol can't eat through easily.

Dont have or no longer have that kind of problem as fuel pumps remote, two in fact one is a spare just in case the other quits.
Spare is on a switch, regular is on key switch and easily removed, also in line filters, dumped and cleaned periodically. And we have non eth gas available,87 oct.Carb motor not injected.

Lilmule

You still have to watch this ethanol problem bud. EVen though they say they arent selling ethanol yet trust me buddy you have it in your system as we speak. They dont dump the fuel trucks when they refill for a delivery....therefore there is leftover from the previous delivery......and not to mention the fact that ethanol will attack a carb motor just as bad as a injected motor...the bad thing is the ethanol dont know and dont care what motor it just blew up...WATER DONT COMPRESS PERIOD!

We do have non eth available here,I also have inline filers, check hoses and filters on a regular basis, just dont have the squeeze problem due to aforementioned fuel pumps.
Prefer them as easy startup, never losing its prime.
