They get tons of info before the T's blackout dates. When I was a marshall at the event on the Delta all three of the guys I was with had gps chips that they'd gotten from local pros or guides. They also really do there homework as far as studing the internet maps etc. Plus they are just darn good!

Re: the pros are taken over

When they were last on Table Rock we had a local guide who postee waypoints on a web page for something like 10 minutes then took it down. Only the Skeeter Pro's he was sucking up to knew where and when to look for them. Some people complained but were told if it was public information i.e. on the internet available to everyone to see, it did not violate the rules.
These guys get a LOT of help.....

Yes and no its public info so not much can be done,,however they arnt supposed to ask for help from outside their org.
I do something close if someone asks I put a report on my own lil web page including pics and holes, not gps co ord but anyone can look at the pics use brain and line up.
I do not use their name, and do not take it down, just posted as a report, that more or less they pick up on and others can as well if they actually want to.

It's not so much of if they want to as much as being able to by knowing it's there.

That's how they get around the rules by posting on a public forum for a specific time and location then removing it. The question was specifically put to the tournament director concerning the postings and they were not happy with the way it was being done but could not say it violated the rules. It was reported to be like walking in a tackle store to make a purchase and hearing the locals talking about the fishing. Public information not sent to or provided to anyone specifically.

Well I for one believe it to be public if posted and left,if posted for ten minutes its clear cut was for personal use and if the public wandering in ,in that ten ins it might be,possibly the reason its still public.Bet it wasnt a listed ip either. So finding it in that ten min if you even knew it was there would be almost impossible.Unless someone gave you the ip addy.
I can see why they wernt happy not kosher at all.
Me id ask if they were given the ip addy then on the presumption it was going to be taken down dq them.Public info is public info and left out.Not sent to a select few on a public channel then erased.
I do have requests like from university of wis or mo ,post a report and they are not permitted to fish this far south, but the info is still good and public as not taken down, will even print a map out of close terrain or structure up north, but again public. And much of it on open forums not my own website although I do use it for that.

agreed lilmule but.... that's how they play the game. Kind of like shooting a video on a lake for a TV show is not considered "pre-fishing"......
