Jay.... how much to repair???
Take a look at the photos n' send me pm on cost. This is off the stinkin' loaner boat so I'm not looking for anything other than a repair of what was damaged when prop met rock.

OUCH! That's some MAJOR cup on #2, there! Think it's the wrong direction, though....

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
Yeah..... pretty ugly lookin' that's for sure. But... really couldn't tell any difference on the hole shot or acceleration. That day I happen to only run about 50mph and at the time didn't know the prop had gotten beat up. I thought the lower unit made contact with the rock. I was just taking off when "WHAM"... Had no clue it was the prop until I trailered out and was putting the transome saver on.

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
Makes for the perfect day, don't it. Buddy did that on one of our trips, happened to be on Pickwick...Motored out couple hundred yards, dropped the hammer and WHAM! F-ered up the Renegade past point of no return.
Was admiring his handywork sittin on the trailer and listenin' to the story. I noticed a drip hangin' on the skeg and wiped it off. Asked him if he noticed any problem with the LU as I firmly believed this was LU oil....Yup - ended up with a whole new one.
Bad to worse. Then got even more so when his insurance back-washed on him.
So when you gonna get yer own stuff back to beat on?!?!

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
Yeah well.... the prop is not the end... nor the beginning of the day...
Trailering 4hrs... 1/2 way in at about the 120 mile mark I look in the rear view mirror... Mmmmm... think I - is that left front trailer tire leaning in a bit????... Check it again in a minute or two... nah... must'a been my imagination. Another 60 miles n' I stop for gas... YES.. trailer tire is leaning in - a lot. As in just about to fall off. Jack up axle, pull tire... I have two 1500# ratchet straps in the truck... Criss-cross'em and ratchet them down... I'm 40 miles from the ramp. Pull out of the gas station POP.... both rachet straps break. Drops fender down on top of rear tire creating a nice blue smoke screen. Pull in to first available parking lot. Jack axle up - again - cut straps off tie'em together again and reinstall criss-cross. This time avoiding sharp edges on spring hanger. Pull out of parking lot - POP. 1500# ratchet straps just ain't getting the job done. Now what???? Pull in to next available parking lot... Lo n' Behold... auto repair shop - that doesn't work on trailer axles! But he did sell me a 3' piece of used chain, a used bolt and a couple of nuts fer 20 bucks. Jack up trailer axle - again. Install chain. That works! Get to ramp.... Fretting about the axle bearing 'cause I know...When one goes it's just a message saying the others ain't far behind. Fiddlin' with life jacket n' kill switch is when I mistook the "Warning - HAZARD" bouy for the No Wake bouy and hit the rock. I'm prefishing for a tournament and have set way points that I wanted to check out. Checked'em out and didn't like the bottom not to mention the lack of fish. Sooo it's getting dark and right across from the ramp I have a spot that usually holds fish. Having a desire to get stinky fingers from at least one fish. I pull up, drop the trolling motor and sling a c'rig with a mag. fluke... Bingo! 4#er in the boat... Sling it again.... another bite but I miss it on the hook set... "Good", I think.... "The fish are still here!" It's dark I go to lift the trolling motor... It won't budge. No amount of cussin' it, stomping on it nor hernia inducing tugs on the rope get it to release. Sooo... had to pull it out of the clamp and lay it on the front deck so I could trailer out.
Back at the ramp.. check out trolling motor bracket. The locking pin had shifted and Motor Guide, in their infinite wisdom, shrounded the locking slot with a plastic housing. Not only that.... but they moulded it such that should the pin shift there is no way to the to the pin unless.... You have a very strong desire to get to it and you have a tire iron handy. Then my friend you can get to it!
I can say with out a doubt the saying "A bad day on the lake is still better than a good day at work!" Is pure'dee BS! I'da much rather been at work that day!

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
Had some issues at TR but it's been awhile since I had a time like that on the water.
Hope it pays off for your T.

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
Gee!! Thats what you call "Having a bad day"
I have one concern about that blade being bent at a 90 degree like that. In the bend, on the face side of the blade, do or can you see stress marks?

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
I posted some more pictures of it. You can zoom in a tad n' see if you see... something really ugly. I couldn't detect any stress cracks. Yes, it looks stressed but no cracks...
http://s876.photobucket.com/albums/ab328/dougw1515/damaged%20prop/
The next weekend on the trip down lost a bearing buddy, got stopped for 78 in a 70(trooper said "I stopped you for doing 80 in a 70 mph zone) He knew and I knew I wasn't going 80. I told him I had cruise set on 77 and was surprised he stopped me... Long story short - got a warning ticket. During tournament broke favorite c'rig rod on a hook set but still managed to boat 6+#er. Finished 5th in the tournament on Saturday with only 3 fish @ 10+. Won the tournament on Sunday with only 4 fish... that included a 7.5#er and a 6.5#er... total for the 4 was 17+. The agony of the week before did pay dividends.

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
Ouch!! Yes I can fix it but I will tell you this. When I start bending her back there is always the chance of the blade trying to crack open especially one thats been bent as much as this one.
pm sent..

Re: Jay.... how much to repair???
Let me be perfectly clear here.... I don't care if you have to build the tip outt'a bondo n' paint it with chrome paint. The SOB that has my boat has had it for 11 of the past 12 months. I have my prop on this hunk'a junk loaner boat now and I will not reinstall the damaged prop until it heads back to Florida.
I will ship the prop in the morning. A check for the total you stated in the PM(plus return shipping) will be enclosed. I'm sending it to:
Jay Martin Propellers
2567 Bob-o-link Pl.
Greenville, Ms 38701
If any of that is incorrect let me know before tomorrow morning.
Btw.... Your web site still says "Visit me on BBM....."
