Cruising prop?

I was at the lake this weekend camping with my dad and we went out on the lake Sat afternoon just cruising showing him and my stepmother around. The Z was TX loaded and 700 lbs of people it was slow to get out of the hole.Should I get a smaller pitch prop or take plug out of the Tempest just for the family thing. Once it gets up it does fine.I did not go WOT but when on plane with this weight it has great throttle responce (35- 60) in what seems like a blink of an eye.Coming out of the hole is the only problem. It just seems to bog alot.

Whatcha think?

Wow - 700# of people. I vote for not haulin' 700# of people.... emoticon emoticon .... I'm waggin' here that they are not a similar size to you?

Like Bullet, I used to spin on my 19" aluminum spare to pull the kid tubin'. Pullin' plugs, you could end up spinnin' yer wheels with a hole lotta cavitation.

My dad and step mom go over 400. I go 170 on a light day. emoticon Would a 23 trophy or something get my barge out of the water or would it blow out on a 250 hp motor on a boat that weighs well over 3000#? emoticon

I'm a thinkin' "high back bucket seats" as yer gonna snap yer neck off... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Make it a salt water version (thru hub) which'll give ya more diameter and lots more bite on the water. A Hi5 would be a possibility for that issue - dragster launch.

Note to self: Don't send the kids to KY to learn math. Hate to tell ya but 400+170 don't add up to 700, Nitro. Hope Shadow does the checkbook balancin' or you're in trouble. emoticon

One less pitch can be the difference between night and day.

"My dad and step mom go over 400. I go 170 on a light day."

You didn't say nuttin 'bout no 4 people. You referred to da folks and yerself. Even in Ohio that indicates 3. I thought maybe you meant 400x2 but didn't work and then add you...then subtracted you.....still didn't work.

Story problems are biotch and then you throwin' algebra into a simple math problem.... emoticon emoticon
