Mercury Vengeance and TXP update

What do you think of this as a ski prop on my Allison in a 23. Is this low rake prop a bow hook waiting to happen?

The 24P Ot4 did get me and my buddy up on slalom but it wasn't fun, once up it was a great prop, even with 4 holes open it would bog around 3K until it nosed over.

Seems like I will need to run the OT 4 above the pad to work Had it even and it ran better even with 4 in the baot but still wouldn't spin up, felt better though

I can't say that I have ever measured a Mercury Vengeance rake. The TXP has about 28-29 degrees of rake. The Allison XB03 only needs 20-21 degrees for hauling a$$.
The higher rake will alow you to keep the bow up at slower speeds.

Never seen a laserII, ran it, pulled skier up great. Very spooky above 30, about 44 is all I could get without it blowing out, buried all the way down on my plate probably about 2" under. Going to call you during my first break 10 CST going to might buy a prop especially if you have a demo available ........

Re: Mercury Vengeance and TXP update

The tro4 is a good prop, good cup ,fairly high rake, while a 4 blade it should be great in the correct pitch, will hang in there level to the pad,yet still get a skier up.
The one 24 p ive seen was a rather big blade as ment for a honda.Looked like it would be instant popup,my 27 p only takes about 1 sec to plane, just me alone though.
24 and 25 p are available used often over on sceam an fly.
Retaining bite with the prop on an allison as it gets higher is a necessity,as it has a built in blow out right hook.
Mine the tro4 runs even to the pad on an 2002 without problems, almost has to much cup as easy to fly the front end.
I havnt experimented as yet as to how far above it will grip, dont know if i really want to,as capable now that my hydraulic jp is installed, but do know it gripes nicely even to the pad providing trim isnt overextended.
The 2003 has about a 1 in longer chine,but same pattern,just longer.
