It's all in the prep work. Take your time and get it to fit right with a sander and grinding wheel before ya make it permanent.

Big thing about the paint, you need to prime with aluminum compatible primer with a zinc phosphate base. Zinc chromate primer used to be what you'd use but don't know if you can get that at the consumer level now due to it's carcinogenic nature.

Sand and degrease first. Don't sweat removing all all pain - only that which is no longer adhering.

Have fun. Take pictures of you project and progess. Post'em up! emoticon

Hey Wevel, Why don't you give us a step by step install with pics on that torque tab.Start a new topic down in the trailer/boat repair forum.

If I end up blocking some holes on my LU and raise it more I will probably need the same thing and it will be easier to find in the repair section. emoticon

I drill and tap aluminum with a slow speed drill and grease. just hold that sucka steady and dont use a chuck key. let the tap slip if it wants to. if it grabs with the tap tight it will snap the tap. and yes I've broken a couple over the years but if you concentrate and dont get distracted even for a second it works well.

Suspect your 600 lb hull will fly faster than my allison,as its its 20 ft 2 in and 1060,along with a weaker year of 140.
As for the prop spray comes with addded rake or cup and raising, jay has done several of my props,in and out like so quick made the ups man head spin.
My own test prop came in tad bigger wheel with less to drive it with but twas cheap,24 p raker,13 spline 3 blade raker for a small gearcase.
At some point in time prop will still work but psi wont those reworked props go easily to the pad and grip.I kept mine at 18 psi as in rough ky lake it will drop about 3 psi at times momentary lapse,if at 15 goes to 11 or 12 for a few secs.
I opted for tad larger as nothing but way less available, and if mota runs ok will slap a bobs on it this winter,as alleys run better near the pad handling wise not just speed wise.
