Man VS Lawn mower Exhaust

Yeah that's me......

Threw a belt and pulled the Z-Turn into the garage to put a new belt on and you guessed it. Third degree burns on the left inside forearm. Hurt like He** but not nearly as much as when the skin started falling off!

Any good home burn remedies out there???

They make sking helpers protectants that create a covering much like caulking adheres to ones skin it stops the burningas covers it,unlike caulking however it lets it breathe and heal.
The home remedy of coca butter leaves one in a sticky situation, never ever get a sunburt back apply and lay down.

Yeah let it cool off before working on it! emoticon emoticon

Actually I don't know where they got it but I think it was something from the mines when my Dad worked there, its called FOIL. It is in a small sqeeze tube and this stuff works wonders on burns.

Trust me I've been burned numerous times at work doing just like you. Not anything major just got too close to the exhaust or something else that was too hot to fool with. And being hard headed didn't want to wait for it to cool off emoticon emoticon

I AM NOT SAYING THERE SHOULD BE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR STUPIDITY,
BUT, WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE SAFETY LABELS OFF OF EVERYTHING
AND LET THE PROBLEM SOLVE ITSELF?"

Yeah thats a bad smell.
Getting burnt SUCKS.

When I worked at a dealership. Alot of the time I didn't have the time to let something cool off, if I did I was loosing money! But now I'm hourly emoticon it can take as long as it needs to now!

Yeah I know what you're talking about SBG.I was a general teck for 3 years out of highschool. The ones that would stop in and wait for an oil change after running 200 miles at 80 mph use to kill me.I think the ones that were coming in for break jobs would go to Bristol and run a couple laps before they brought it in and then wait on it so you would have to do it right then. emoticon

WAITERS GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

I hated working on waiters cars!!!

For everybody reading this, do your mechanic a favor and LEAVE THE VEHICLE THERE. Waiters get what they want...waiting. They want to wait on it I was more than happy to ablige them by making them wait on it. emoticon

I'll try to upload a pic. When I hit the exhaust it just went sizzle and then I felt a hot spot. It hurts more now than it did the day I burned it.
Nitro you're right. It's not like roasting marshmallows!
