Oh well time will sort it all out,letter S must stand for Super since its still alive,33 years later.
Going to make a sign up youve just been passed by an old 1977 140 at the power head omc,dump the 150 junk and get a real mota.

The holes you're talking about below the bubble are idle exhaust reliefs. You try hooking up your h2o gauge to that, you might get something for a reading but it ain't gonna be right.

If you don't have a piss tube (1/8") to insert a "T" into, just D&T the bubble and be done with it.

Kinda figured that would be the case dont have a tap so ill have someone do it.
One more silly question on the gas linkage what holds the black plastic rod on the peg other than tension,seems like there should be a clip of some sort.
myrad of small problems so far fixed many,tilt tube is or had a bump in iit as steering arm off hydraulic wont go thru it,its supposidly same size as my 200,it fit tight in it,guess it will take a bit of reaming
