House hunting.

ARHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Looking for houses SUX when you find one that you like get things going and then the day your supposed to go look at it AGAIN the owner calls and says that it just got SOLD! emoticon WTF????? But I guess that I can understand it the other guy offered more money and CASH, oh well. Still agervating though.

Then we go and look at another house that looks perfect. Farm house that looks like its got alot of land, beutiful views of the mountains, 2 ponds, a barn, everything we would want. Until we see the price, !%*$. That sux even more. See what yall think.

Heres the site http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/212-Dogwood-Dr_Gallant_AL_35972_1111926224

We are looking at houses now just to get a feel for what's out there. My work location is gonna be moving in less than 2 years and I am gonna have to move. We both like the area that I'm getting moved to, and we want to get away from where we are now. Move North of Birmingham and out in the country. Added bonus is that this move would get us closer to Guntersville too emoticon .

And when you look at places for sale on the internet they make it look great and when you get there to look the house is falling in.? Guess they forgot to mention that in the ad.

Just thought I'd vent on looking for houses. emoticon

Do you know what the tractor and implements are? What about the truck?
The bad thing about a deal like this is you will be paying interest on the truck/tractor and implements for 30 years. emoticon

On the other hand if the "Stocked ponds" are stocked then that is worth a lot to a fisherman but if they meant to say "stock ponds" then that don't mean nothing unless you have livestock to drink out of them.

Great looking place though!

I don't think you would want 30 acres to take care of though because every time you are out there working on it because you have to you would rather be fishing. emoticon

great place and a great price 250k here wont even get you an acre with a shack on it
30 acres with that view and house would go for well over 1 mill

I figured you'd say that Charlie. Everything up there is outragously high.

Nitro who said I was the one that was gonna be taking care of the land. Thats what Bama's for! She wants to run a tractor I figured I'd let her have it. emoticon

emoticon It's initials better be JD.

Is that shed in the background in the one pic, the "barn"? Looks like a dog kennels. Just sayin'...

Need someplace enclosed to put the boat in and other "toys" so you can do maint and projects in the winter. Of course with 30 acres you got room to add stuff but for that money, I'd like to already have something available.

Looks like a nice house. Location looks great - centrally located to Gville, Neely Henry and Smith Lake. Gotcher choice of water types.

At least you're finding places that suit your tastes. Took me a year of looking 'fore I found a marginally acceptable place after I started working here. At least I got an extra lot to put up a shop on and I'm on the lake.....even if I haven't fished on it in 5 years.....and I haven't got the shop built after having the whole building stolen from where I dismantled it - for free.

Sounds like you got plenty of time to shop (and save for that down payment) for the right place. If 'somebody' aint got a desperate want fer a horse or something like that, I could do without the 30 acres to pay taxes on. Depends on whatcha really want.

Re: House hunting.

Thats kinda what we're thinking. Just look up some places and go look at them. We aren't in a big hurry to move just kinda gettin our feet wet with whats out there. And whenever we hear of something that just came on the market or is about to be on the market we'll go check it out. Kinda been enjoying it, just take off and go lookin'.

This one with 30 acres is WAY out of our price range. Just thought it was a really nice place and thought I'd share it. Just WAY too much. Us folks down South don't make all that BIG money them New York folks make. emoticon

You don't even want to think about what something like that would cost here.
