I AM NOT SAYING THERE SHOULD BE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR STUPIDITY,
BUT, WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE SAFETY LABELS OFF OF EVERYTHING
AND LET THE PROBLEM SOLVE ITSELF?"

Re: Mercury versus the Sho Yamaha
I'm excited about the fourstokes.I can see some major HP.There is so much you can do with a forstroke.
I still don't know why they ain't come out with a marine rotary engine. You talk about RPM's....WOW!!!

Re: Mercury versus the Sho Yamaha
Don't get me wrong I am a diesel man myself. You can't beat the fuel mileage and torque.Yes them two stroke diesel will turn the R's but not as torquy as the fourstroke though.Don't think a diesel would ever beput on a bass rig.
I would not be surprised to see some 450hp SHO's in just a short while after the performance shops start getting into them.

Re: Mercury versus the Sho Yamaha
I think they gonna buy some SHO's, take them apart and then came up with their own concept and design, they just want to know what parts and materials made engine lighter, since they already have the technology

Re: Mercury versus the Sho Yamaha
The technology used in the SHO is not new, only new to the marine industry. Mercury may be a little behind the ball due to the strike threats and having to keep the plant up north however, they have not been sitting on their thumbs as the SHO has been out in testing overseas for almost two years and, "there ain't no secrets" in this business.
